Butcher's Dog is a bi-annual poetry magazine founded and published in North East England.
Independent and egalitarian, we print outstanding poems by diverse writers with distinctive voices from across the UK and ROI.
From 2021 we also publish themed anthologies.

To prevent overpayment all active subscriptions have been paused and will be fulfilled upon our return. We are not currently offering subscriptions for sale but you can still buy individual copies of our magazine and anthologies.

Orders placed after this date will be posted from January 10th 2025.​
On 13th December 2024 the EU will introduce GPSR. This regulation means UK sellers must have a representative within the EU to act on their behalf. As an independent publisher, we do not have the thousands of pounds an agent requires.
As a result, we are unfortunately forced to cease trading with the EU and Northern Ireland.
